Each week we run three core training sessions led by Enland Athletics qualified run leaders. Session distances and training focus varies from week to week, but generally stick to the following schedule:
Monday - A range of distances typically from 5K to 5 miles. Monday's run is generally easy pace which is a great way to start the week and also to recover from any weekend races or long runs!
Wednesday - Typically a choice of a shorter or a longer continuous run, or a more challenging training session such as hill training or interval training.
Saturday - Our morning run could be anything from a gentle seafront 5K, to a trail run around the Durham coastal paths.
As well as the core weekly runs, we hold regular events including:
Social Sunday - semi-regular runs which are often used to explore routes further afield
Track Sessions - roughly once a month with a focus on speed work to improve running performance
We also hold events throughout the year on a less regular schedule, including:
Themed Events - from Christmas to Halloween, from our Good Friday chip shop run to Richie's remembrance run, we love an excuse to put on a themed event!
Charity Runs - in order to make a difference to our community we have put on runs in aid of a number of charities close to our hearts
